The Axial® AXP8 Gilamon Overdrive Portal Gears (14T/27T) are an upgraded gear set for the 1/8 AXP8 Gilamon 2.2 4X4 RTR Brushed Trail Buggy. These gears increase the speed of the front wheels relative to the rear, improving steering response, climbing ability, and maneuverability by pulling the vehicle over obstacles more effectively. This upgrade enhances performance in technical terrain and rock crawling.

Overdrive

Overdrive portal gears adjust the gear ratio so the front wheels spin slightly faster than the rear, improving traction, steering, and handling, especially in rock crawling and technical terrain. This setup enhances climbing performance by pulling the vehicle over obstacles and preventing rollovers. It also improves steering response, allowing for tighter turns and better maneuverability.
