At Key City Hobby, we offer a fleet of rental RC trucks and drift cars for drivers of all skill levels - from first-timers to seasoned hobbyists!

RC TRUCK RENTALS

Our trucks are ready to tackle the course and provide an exciting intro to the RC hobby.

Want more time behind the wheel? Add a second 30 minutes at the time of your initial rental and enjoy up to 60 minutes of run time for just $12.99 more!

DRIFT CAR RENTALS

Ages:

• 16-106 year old

Ready to learn the art of sideways driving? Our drift cars are available for those looking to experience the thrill of RC drifting on our dedicated drift track.

Rental Rates:

• $19.99 per 30-minute session

To keep our drift cars performing at their best, rentals are limited to 30-minute increments and include cool-down time between sessions.

No experience? No problem! Our team is happy to help you get started.

1. No shoes on allowed track. Use only “track crocs” located on access floor mats.

2. Only 1/10 scale RWD drift cars with hard-plastic track spec tires (Yokomo DRC) are allowed. Tires must be clean and in good condition.

3. Before retrieving a car, call out “dead car” and wait for traffic to stop. Then enter the track.

4. Join drift trains at the tail. If a train or tandem is approaching, pull over in a bailout area to let it pass.

5. If you spin out, wait for the cars behind to pass before resuming

6. Do not work on cars on the track or parking areas. Please use pit tables.

7. Call out stalls or crashes to alert other drivers to pay attention. Identify location (e.g. Corner, sweep, straight)

8. Yield to track traffic when driving out of pit lane/parking lot

9. Place or retrieve your car from the pit lane or parking lot only.

10. Please do not stop in the middle of the track. Pull into the parking area or bailout area to clear the track.

11. Intentional reckless driving is not acceptable.

12. Always charge with a LIPO bag. Failure to use a bag after a warning will result in you being asked to leave.

13. Have fun! Don’t be afraid to ask others for help if needed!

Our rental RC trucks are available for drivers ages 6 to 106! Whether it's a future RC up-and-comer's first time behind the wheel or a seasoned driver looking for some track time, we've got a rental for you ready to roll!

For our drift cars, drivers must be 16 and up due to the skill level required and the nature of the drift track.

Don't worry if you are new to RC - we're happy to give a quick demo to help get you started.

Getting your order is easy!

We ship orders Mondays, and Wednesdays through Fridays (excluding holidays). Most in-stock orders are
processed and shipped within 1–2 business day! You will receive tracking information as soon as your package is
on its way.

Absolutely! Spectating is completely free.

We love having friends, family, and fellow hobbyists stop by to watch the action on the rocks and drift track.

For everyone's safety, we do ask that anyone spending more than a few minutes in the track area sign a liability waiver before heading to the playground.

So come hang out, cheer on your favorite driver, and enjoy the action - no admission required!

KCH takes a weekly pit stop every Tuesday, when the shop and tracks are closed.

As for holidays, we're here for the fun almost all year long! We are open most holidays but do close our doors on:

So unless it is a Tuesday, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, there's a good chance we will be here and ready to help you hit the rocks, slide around the drift track, or help you find your next favorite RC adventure!

Absolutely! Your SCX24 and other micro crawlers are welcome to tackle our rock course!

Don't let their size fool you - these little rigs can have a big adventure here at KCH! Our course features plenty of lines, obstacles, and challenges that make micro crawling a blast for drivers of all skill levels.

So charge up those batteries, grab your crawler, and come see just how capable your tiny trail rig really is!

Not anymore. While we previously offered a dirt track, we no longer have one available for use.

These days, our focus is on providing an awesome experience with our indoor rock crawling courses and RC drift track, giving folks plenty of opportunities to climb, crawl, slide, and have fun year-round.

While we appreciate the sights, sounds, and smells of nitro and gas-powered RCs, they are not permitted on any of our courses. Additionally, we do not sell items for these type of vehicles.

Our indoor courses are designed specifically for electric powered vehicles, helping provide a cleaner, quieter, and more enjoyable experience for all inside the shop.

Questions about whether your vehicle is course-approved? Just ask! Our team is always happy to help you find the right place to run your RC.

While we love all things RC, 4WD drift cars are not permitted on our drift track.

Our track is designed specifically for 2WD drift cars, which provides the realistic driving dynamics and close competition that make RC drifting so engaging! Allowing 4WD vehicles can create an uneven playing field and affect the overall drift experience for everyone on the track.

Not sure if your car qualifies? Bring it by or give us a call - we'll be happy to help determine if your setup is track-ready!

Our rock course is designed for vehicles up to 1/10 scale, which is the largest size permitted on the course.

From micro crawlers all the way up to full-size 1/10 scale trail rigs, there's plenty of terrain to explore and obstacles to conquer.

Vehicles larger than 1/10 scale are simply a little too big for the course and can make navigating the features difficult.

All said, if your rig is 1/10 scale or smaller, you're good to hit the rocks!

At this time, no - we do not carry RC planes, boats, trains, or parts for those products.

Our focus is on providing the best selection of RC crawlers, drift cars, trucks, parts, upgrades, and accessories for the hobbies we know and love.

If you're looking for something specific, feel free to ask! While we may not stock it, we may be able to order one in for you and if not, we're always happy to point fellow hobbyists in the right direction.

We do not have battery chargers available for customer use. However, we stock a variety of chargers for many different battery types and applications if you're looking to purchase one.
